The web of secularism
Nepal is a multilingual, multicultural, multi-ethnic and multi-faith country. By adhering to one faith or another, with devotion and dedication to their God, they have been serving and supporting each other, complementing each other with the feeling that serving the people is serving the people. Until yesterday, no one was found to be treating people differently based on which religion or sect they belong to, but today, after the declaration of secularism, the people have clearly experienced that they are being treated differently and treated differently as soon as they see each other. Not only this, under the guise of secularism, they have questioned the faith of the multi-faith people, made them distrust the original tradition, and today, they have been widely converting the rural community, thus destroying the real identity of Nepal.
Although voices are raised from time to time, everyone is aware of the situation where religious converts are being given immunity under the guise of political access. The issue of secularism, which was not raised by the people's movement, has been given official status in the Interim Constitution 2065, giving strength to the heretics. The Nepali people have clearly understood that secularism, which was imposed without understanding the opinion of the Nepali people, was only done through political siege.
Nepali society's culture, traditions and customs are somehow connected to Sanatana Dharma. That is why secularism is failing in Nepali society. Nepali politics seems to be misinterpreting religion and encouraging heretics. Religion is an eternal statute. Which is not only for humans but is the main basis for the operation of the entire living being and the world. Without religion, no subject matter can exist. Therefore, there is no point in imposing secularism in this country. Because Sanatana Dharma itself is liberal, tolerant, dutiful and people-savior.
Due to this nature of Nepal, the world has viewed Nepal's religious tolerance in a significant way. In the eyes of the world, it is a beautiful country, a country full of natural beauty, a country rich in traditional culture, and a decent and civilized people, and therefore it has been considered a tourist destination for followers of all religions around the world. Followers of any religion have not been stopped from visiting as tourists. Therefore, it has been considered inappropriate to declare a secular nation for the protection of the original religion. Religion is always relative. Absoluteness means indifference or neglect. It only means what policy the state will adopt within the context of religion. Secularism is a controversial word in itself. Institutionalizing it is proving fatal for the country today. India is going through an extremely controversial situation due to secularism. Nepalese followers of Hindu religion and culture, which have been followed since ancient times, do not consider absoluteness as their own.
Currently, in Nepal, office-oriented politics, trapped in the greed for power and allowances, is gaining ground. Sanatan Dharma has become a victim of this. It was not necessary to call religion absolute, it should have been considered relative. Because religion itself accepts the existence of everyone, not religion. The state itself being secular means that the state administrators are ignoring their responsibilities. The result of this is that the state administrators are not fulfilling their responsibilities towards the people in any way. Exploitation, corruption, distortion and the opportunity for widespread manipulation by heretics are being encouraged everywhere. Even the Guardian newspaper published from abroad had interpreted the time after the declaration of secularism as the golden age of religious conversion. In fact, neither Christians are secular nor Muslims. Because it is not possible for an absolute person to accept religion from religion. In fact, it is clear that secularism was imposed only to help religious converts convert. Otherwise, no one has been able to confirm that secularism is the seeker of development and religious relativism is the obstacle to development. Rather, after secularism, when the individual himself forgets his sins and virtues, unrighteousness will prevail. That is what is happening now.
There is no solid reason for anyone to explain the web called secularism and religious freedom except that it is a means of destroying the originality of Nepal and converting the heretics. Let us hope that an environment will be created where all the people tear apart this web of secularism and throw it into the river, and we ourselves must create this environment. Otherwise, our future generations will surely condemn us.
