Book Released Against Five-Day Funeral Ritual
Since ancient times, funeral rituals have been considered as the last rites among the 16 rituals. The scriptures are firm in stating that if this ritual is not performed according to the scriptures, the journey to the afterlife will be painful. Some so-called modernists, with the help of UNESCO, are trying to end the tradition of celebrating birthdays by eating cakes on birthdays in order to complete the originality of Nepal. They are also trying to destroy the tradition of last rites by saying that it is written in the scriptures that it is appropriate to reduce the ongoing 13-day ritual to 5 or 7 days. They are running a campaign to mislead the society by giving various wrong examples. After seeing this, Hindu Jagaran Nepal conducted a meeting of the guru groups of Sanatan Vidvat Parishad Nepal, held discussions, seminars, etc. with distinguished scholars and concluded that the seven-day ritual is completely wrong. After that, the book "Funeral rites in Sanatan Dharma in 13 days" was prepared by preparing articles by distinguished scholars on how the 13-day ritual is appropriate. The special support of Chataradham Peethadheeshwar Balsant Jagadguru Maharaj was provided for the publication of the book. After Hindu Jagaran Nepal organized a program and widely publicized that the 7-day ritual was inappropriate, the work of reducing the ritual has recently stopped.
